The Weekend Excitement

It seems that after a week of slience I just can’t shut up. 😀 It’s Shabbat, all the kids are out here, we are enjoying the summer weekend, the last one we spend with Kevin’s parents till November. We’ll miss them.

While the littles and middles are out swimming with the grandparents and their mum and two of the teens, Kevin, Nirel, Eli, Yonah and I are relaxing on the couch with fresh fruit smoothies and watching back to back episodes of the 10th season of the US version of Hell’s Kitchen. We are on episode 3 now. There is an Israeli guy named Guy, and in the first two episodes I just couldn’t stand him, he is sooo annyoing. Or he is shown to be annoying. I just love this show! And Brian is so cute.

Today’s lunch will be home made mushroom soup, freshly baked rolls and fried chicken. Yeah, not typical Shabbat lunch, but Grandma made it all for us.

This morning I got an email from a family I have been in contact with for about a year and a half now, throughout their adoption. It was the mum letting me know that they will be in Israel for the next ten days, with 4 empty days in the middle of the week! They’re going to take a few beach days here in Herzliya. I was also surprised to see that Tzfat wasn’t on their tour itinerary, so we are taking them there. Seriously, Christian tour companies need to put that city on their tours! It’s magnificent. They are very happy that they’ll get to meet Yonah. They have been through a lot in the last two years, and I think a little reassuring will be good for them. And they are bringing Dr Pepper for the guys. 😀 We’ll bring them to our shul for a Friday evening experience. I hope they’ll like it.

Gordon Ramsay just kicked the red team out of the kitchen… again. Royce is picking up. Did I mention I love this show?

I’m still on a high from the concert on Thursday and the trip yesterday. It was brief and we couldn’t spend nearly as much time with my brother and his family as we would have liked, it was still great to see them and welcome the Shabbat together. It was fun and uplifiting both.
