Dear Fundamentalist Christians,

There are two great commandments that your god gave directly:

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ (NIV)

For those of you, who believe that all other translations are from the devil, here is the KJV version:

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

That’s plainly written as a direct quote in Matthew 22:37-39. It is not something Paul added to the teachings of your Messiah, it’s a commandment from your god. “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” NO exceptions. It doesn’t say, thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself as long as thy neighbour is conservative, heterosexual Christian.

You show anything less and then you are hypocrite, someone, who pretends to be a follower of your god, but rather just a follower of Paul, who so greatly managed to distort the message.

Anything less, and you are no better than those you so greatly despise.

I haven’t ever commented here before. But this is so true. If everyone tried to follow that the world would be a better place. (I’m not saying that everyone should be Christian though! Totally not.) Why can’t people just be kind?
