Now, Europe, Seriously

Last night was the first semifinal of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. All three of ‘my’ countries were involved in it: Ireland, Israel and Hungary. This year I loved the Israeli song, found the Hungarian one not too bad and Ireland… well, Jedward make Justin Bieber acceptable music. I also liked the Romanian, the Montenegrin and the Moldovan entries a lot a lot. I hated the songs from Greece, Albania and Cyprus. And Denmark. Latvia bored me, San Marino wasn’t as funny as they thought they’d be, and was she gasping for air? Anyway, it was pretty bad. No sruprise that Greece, Albania, Denmark and Cyprus made it to the final.

And Jedward, too.

And yes, Hungary, Romania, and Moldova as well.

But Israel didn’t.

It makes me sad. Ok, not too sad, but hey, I loved the song!

Now, I’m trying to decide who I’ll like on Thursday.
