Together in the Kitchen

Today I’m supposed to be in Hungary. I’m not, thanks to the mess that the shutting down of the Hungarian national airlines caused. However, I didn’t have anything else to do, so I took a few days off work. It’s also nice not have to run around with this odd little cough I have, and I have things to do to prepare to return to teaching, so it’s perfect being home.

Over the weekend, Kevin took most of the kids to the Golan, and the two youngest were hanging out with grandparents. Yesterday everyone went to bed early after a super short night before, and this morning they all woke up hungry as a wolf. And they woke up early. So we had a full breakfast: eggs, turkey bacon, fried potatoes, mushrooms, pancakes and home made hashbrowns with gravy, toast an marmalade, juice, coffee, milk and tea. A full, big breakfast for 17 people. Preparing it took 15! Some were peeling potatoes, chopping onions, frying this or cooking that. Some were setting the table, slicing bread, folding napkins. It was great. Noisy, tasty, great.

…and then everyone went to school…

…and there was only me home…

…me and the dishes. 😀

Szerezzetek már be egy mosogatógépet!!!! 😀

Húúú, már kezdtelek sajnálni, hogy 17 ember után mosogatni…!
    Kis csaló! 😛

Igazából elég sokat kézzel mostam el… Mert persze el?vettük a mosogatógépben nem mosható orosz étkészletet…

    Módosítom a fenti javaslatomat:

A következ? projekt: egyszer?, mosogató gépben is mosható 24 személyes étkészlet! 😉

I hope you have a dishwasher! What sort of mushrooms?

    • Hevel says:

We do, however we used some (many) not dishwasher safe things yesterday. 😀

It was just regular champignon mushroom, fried, with ketchup or brown sauce… Nothing fancy.
