Home but not home

I got everything done on Thursday and I got it all done fast! I was done with the court, the tax authority and the local adoption and child protection agency stuff by noon! I think it was all done in record time, and then I had the chance to grab some lunch at one of my favourite burger places in Budapest.

Image source: http://hungarianblintzes.rest-e.co.ilFriday I flew back to Israel, but because there is a viral infection going around at home (Nirel has pneumonia, Yonah and Craig have upper respiratory infections), I was forced to camp out at my brother Efi’s place instead of going home.  It’s next door to home, but not home. You know what I mean?  To console myself I had some Hungarian blintzes in TA. Always a good thing. I also love Nagyi palacsintázója in Budapest. Both sell great crepes with awesome salty and sweet fillings. Very excellent.

I volunteered to watch their three kids for a few hours while they ran out to have dinner together and just get some fresh air. The kids were really good and the two younger ones slept the whole time. Asher and I had dinner together and boy, is it fun to eat witha  3-year-old! The Eleventh Doctor likes fishsticks and custard. Asher likes fries with sausage and chocolate pudding. Gotta admit, it wasn’t half bad! After dinner we watched some Sesame Street and then he fell asleep.

Today my boy Noah turns 19. He is such an amazing young man! His dedication and hard work to bring the most out of him has been amazing. We are blessed to have him as part of our family. He came over for lunch, and he is now out and about whith his friends. I’ll take him to have some of those blintzes on Tuesday before the concert.  Or maybe late tonight. 🙂

When you come visit the Holy Land, I’ll take you to all the Christian sites (and a few of the OT ones), except Bethlehem, but I’ll make up for Bethlehem with Hungarian Blintzes. It’s awesome. 😀
